The European Museum in Schengen in Luxembourg

Many primary schools visit the European Museum in Schengen every year. They participate in interactive programmes about the European Union in French, German or English. They become familiar with European history while participating in a rally, doing quizzes and games. They can also make their own Schengen passport.

At the end of their visit, each school class attaches a padlock to the sculpture « E schlass fir Schengen » ( a padlock for Schengen) in the tradition of love locks to bind themselves symbolically to the idea of open borders.
